Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 for Restoration | One of 500 Anniversary Gold Special Edition Cars - 1967 | £POA |
This 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII was built by the Abingdon factory on 18-19th April 1967 and dispatched to Oregon, USA on 4th May 1967. This example is an extremely rare Metallic ‘Anniversary Golden Beige’ car (one of 500), a colour only available in the final year of production and specially introduced to mark the 15th anniversary of Austin Healey production. Interior trim was original Black featuring Ambla seats with ‘Chrome’ piping and the hood was Black. From the factory this was a very well specified car with factory equipment including: wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column, laminated windscreen, overdrive and Dunlop roadspeed tyres.
In its current state the car is presented complete with engine and drivetrain fully intact and is matching numbers on the body, chassis and engine. The bodywork on this car is complete and is of an acceptable standard throughout with any damage easily repairable. As a late BJ8 phase two this car is the most desirable Austin Healey specification with wind-up windows, a easy-up ‘pram style’ hood and superior refinement over the earlier cars.
