Originally built between the 5-8th April 1963 and dispatched on the 22nd April and finished in Colorado Red on Red Leather trim with Black piping this matching numbers car was well equipped from factory with options of wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column and a black tonneau cover.
The car was fully and professionally restored in 2012 from bare metal with panel fit showing across the car to be of a high standard. The car remains very clean owing to a caring previous owner who kept the car in a heated garage and regularly cleaned the car underneath on a lift.
During restoration the engine was comprehensively rebuilt with an upgraded camshaft, upgraded carbs, new pistons, a refurbished head and fully balanced. An oil cooler has been fitted as a useful upgrade. After break-in the engine was rolling road tuned with dyno graphs available.
The interior is very well presented with the original gauges refurbished, the seats free from rips and with minimal signs of wear and very good carpets. All wet weather gear is present and very good condition with the hood, hood bag and optional tonneau finished in Black.
The suspension was fully overhauled with new shocks and springs, new brakes and polybushes. The car is excellent to drive with the engine clearly strong, very responsive and smooth and handling very well with a taught chassis.
The car has a fantastic, thick history file with full documentation of restoration, is supplied with a heritage certificate authenticity, MOT and newly serviced.
