Late Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 in Metallic Golden Beige FND471F - 1965 | £72000 | Right Hand Drive
Now Sold FND 471F is one of the last 350 Austin Healeys; manufactured in September 1967 with a chassis no HBJ8-U/42679 G (the last car manufactured had chassis number 43026). The U denotes that the car was made for the US (mainly Californian) markets. The G denotes that the car was manufactured in the Abingdon factory. This example is an excellent RHD, fully restored example finished in the rare and desirable Golden Beige colour scheme on black leather. Originally an American market, LHD car finished in British Racing Green, the car has benefitted from many new parts including a new chassis during restoration, yet still retains unique American market items such as octagonal wheel nuts. Further original extras include: overdrive, a Heater, adjustable steering column and laminated windscreen. This car has been well restored with a new chassis in 2006 and there are many invoices following a long, slower restoration through to 2013 when the car was finished by the well known restorer Peter Ellis. The restoration is of very good quality and the car is mechanically very strong, owing to many new or refurbished parts used. Documentation of restoration is excellent, with a folder of photographs provided. Price as a Left Hand Drive car if required: £77,000.
