LR Roadsters RAM Cobra - 872 MRM is a extremely well presented Ram Cobra first registered November 1960 finished in Silver with Black facia, black carpet and leather seats.
The car has great provenance and was raced by Andrew Hannah in the original Bardahl Trophy and other races. It was known as a very fast Cobra having recorded 198 mph on the straight at Spa.
Today the car has a different engine with much work to present as a Race / Fast Road specification Ram Cobra. Specification includes a 350 Vortex iron-block Chevrolet (more powerful than the newer Chevy's) circa 380bhp, Saginaw 4-speed 'box with big bearings, Single-plate clutch, with one face copper scinted. 10.5"and an Elderbrock 4-barrel carb. The engine was supplied and fitted by Roger Klimcke one of the most experienced Ram Vobra experts.
872 MRM has twin side chrome exhausts, 4 point harnesses, wet weather gear and a trickle charger.
The drive as you would expect is very powerful with a thunder from the twin pipes to match. A very exciting car for the garage and Goodwood 2015.
