Open Day 2008
During the build up to this year's Open Day we were hoping for a good turn out. There had been excellent feedback from the 2007 event, at the Goodwood Revival in September many people had let us know that they hoped to attend and the local Austin Healey Clubs had passed on the word to all their members. John Hankin the Penrite Oil mogul and leading figure of the Alresford Allsorts had invited his contacts and Nick Payne whose car was in the trim shop had invited all his Cobra Clan. To cap it all the sun shone and in the end we attracted a fantastic turnout, counting 73 classic cars!
Thanks to all who participated whether in classic or modern mode. It was an enjoyable event, a relaxed sharing of enthusiasm in Healeys and all classic cars. The earliest car was John Hankins Adler which he was road testing at a flat out 15 mph prior to the London to Brighton event. Thanks to everyone again who helped to make the event so successful. See you in 2009!
