1958 Austin Healey 100/6,
Rare 2 Seat Model in Old English White with Valuable Black Works
Hard Top.
The current owner purchased
DSV 343 in July 1986 just after the car was completely restored
and over the years has invested heavily in keeping the car up
to a high standard.
Two years ago, a major programme
of works was embarqued upon to bring the car up to a
high level of specification to cope with modern day driving with
work by JME Healeys
Full engine rebuild to include
new electronic ignition, new alternator, new batteries and new
Kenlow cooling fan (in addition to new five blade engine fan),
radiator rebuild and oil change after 1000 miles. New disc brakes
to the front with servo. Additional heat shielding has been fitted
both inside the cabin and in the engine bay. New harness fitted
to both driver and passenger side. The vehicle has been completely
rewired. In 2009 the engine was removed and refurbished and balanced.
There are many recent (approx
£14,000) and older invoices to support the restoration and the
rebuild. The drives exceptionally well and is a very fine example
of the car.
